Before Buying A New Mouse For Your Desktop Computer Look At The Logitech Wireless Trackball M570

By Stuart Clapham

I am sure when you go to buy a new computer you are checking out the specs and the size of the hard drive. But have you ever decided to purchase a computer because of the kind of mouse that came with it? Maybe not! Just about any PC you get will provide you with a typical mouse that works the same as any other mouse on any other PC. And for some individuals that is adequate, but other individuals are looking for something more. This is the reason we resolved to take a closer look at the Logitech Wireless Trackball M570.

The computer mouse has come a long way since it was originally made available. If you can remember a long time ago, when the original mouse became available, it was a one button mouse that operated with the use of a ball. That was where it began until some person had the bright idea to include another click button on the right hand side and then a few years later they had the audacity to add a finger scroll. The mouse essentially evolved as much as it could when the roller ball was removed and optics were added for the cursor control.

Well, things are only improving with the Logitech Wireless Trackball M570. This innovative mouse that has been developed doesn't even look like a mouse, at least in the conventional sense.

The first thing that is worth mentioning about this mouse is that it is a wireless mouse. The receiver is a small device that you will hook up to a USB port and leave it there. There are no wires so you can hook it up to your laptop computer and there isn't anything that will get in your way. Also, you won't have to actually worry about being out of range and the mouse has a wireless range of 30 feet. So you can be sitting in your favorite couch and still control your cursor easily.

But now I am going to talk about my preferred feature that comes with this mouse. And my favorite feature is the actual Trackball itself which is incorporated into the mouse. The trackball technology gives you the ability to use this mouse anyplace you want, whether you have a flat surface or even a mouse pad. The roller ball and optics are now obsolescent as you will control your cursor with the trackball and the cursor is controlled by your thumb.

While this mouse will nevertheless come with the left and right click buttons and the finger scroll wheel, you will find it extremely easy to use. However, it comes with several other features like programmable one touch buttons that you can use for the usual tasks. You can even use the mouse with your browser because it comes with the forward and back navigation buttons. This mouse is really an amazing invention that will make everything better.

Also, the battery life itself is genuinely amazing. The unit is powered by 1 AA battery, but the best part is you won't be replacing the battery each week as the battery can last up to 18 months. Needless to say, the life of the battery will vary between people as some people will be using their desktop computer 8 to 12 hours a day. Of course, if you use your PC a lot, even getting six months months from one battery should still impress you.

This mouse retails for approximately $45, which is actually about double the price of a regular optical mouse. The quality of this mouse and the new features makes it well worth the cost.
